Galle is our favorite corner in the world. We were lucky to find Villa Bentota on the Galle Road — a serene little nook of its own, an hour and forty minutes from Colombo Airport.

Villa Bentota is our wedding home for the weekend. The place where the celebrations, meals, music, and madness will unfold.
A small group of family and wedding guests will be staying at the villa with us. For everyone else joining the celebrations, we’d recommend booking a stay close by so the weekend feels easy and connected.
To make that simpler, we’ve listed a few nearby hotels and villas below. Some are just next door, some are a short tuk-tuk ride away, and all should keep you close to the celebrations without having to over-plan the weekend.

Getting there
Flying
All international flights land at the Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport. We would recommend applying for an EVisa in advance, to avoid the on arrival line at the airport. They issue the visa in under 10 minutes.
Please try and get yourselves prepaid taxis from the airport straight to the hotel. It should take you about an hour and forty five minutes and cost you about $30 to $50.
Getting around
We will have 1 or 2 cabs hired for the weekend. These would be available for emergencies and quick turnarounds. But if you require cabs for any other reasons, the hotel concierge should be able to help you out with the same.
